The Connecticut High School Boys’ Basketball State Division III Championship was held on Sunday March 17th in the Mohegan Sun Arena. The Farmington Indians got off to a slow start against the strong defense of the Amistad (New Haven) Wolves. Down by nine at the half, Farmington scored the first 12 points of the third quarter to take the lead. Amistad fought its way back, but a strong fourth quarter by the 18-3 Farmington Indians sealed the 55-45 victory for our hometown team. The win marks the first time the Farmington Indians have won the State of Connecticut Boy’s Basketball Championship.
