State Senator Terry Gerratana, who has ably represented part of Farmington along with all of New Britain and Berlin in the 6th District, has been appointed by Governor Ned Lamont to the position of Senior Adviser to the Office of Health Care Strategy.

Gerratana, who has chaired the General Assembly’s committee on public health, will work with the state officials helping plan policy on health care systems, hospitals, medical records and prescription cost containment.

On behalf of all of the residents of Farmington and the rest of Connecticut’s 6th Senate District, the Farmington Democratic Town Committee wishes to extend our thanks to Terry for a job well done in the General Assembly, and also a hearty congratulations and thank you for her work ahead with the Office of Health Care Strategy.

A special election will be held later this winter to fill the open Senate seat. State Representative Rick Lopes, from the 24th District, New Britain, has announced his intentions to run for the 6th District seat in the State Senate. Terry Gerratana is among those who have endorsed Rick Lopes.
