Meet Scott Halstead - Candidate for Town Plan and Zoning

Scott Halstead – Bio:

Scott Halstead, candidate for Town Plan and Zoning Commission, feels a real sense of duty towards our town. “My family has benefited greatly from the quality of life and the schools in town, and I feel it is my responsibility to give something back,” he says. Scott has lived in Farmington for 11 years and is currently in his first term on the TPZ, where he is an advocate for smart, thoughtful growth to our community. “Farmington is an incredible place to live that offers excellent schools, low taxes, great services and a generally amazing quality of life,” he notes, encouraging careful planning to consider the impact of town growth on traffic.

In addition to his work on the TPZ, he is a dedicated community volunteer. He’s served as a youth basketball coach, Farmington Little League volunteer, and Cub Scout treasurer, supporting his two teenage sons, both of whom attend Farmington High School.
