Robert Phillips – Bio:

Rob Phillips and his family moved to Farmington in 2013. Desiring to be involved more with our community while utilizing his professional expertise he is excited to be a candidate for the Zoning Board of Appeals. You may also know him as the Director of the Farmington Valley Mudhogs NFL Flag Football organization, a coach in the Farmington Youth Baseball League, spending time at Winding Trails or on the slopes all too often at Ski Sundown!

Rob’s commitment to high standards includes two Master Degrees; one in Natural Resource Management and the other in Public Administration. Combined with over 14-years of experience as a certified land use Planner, Rob’s high qualifications and vast experience will enable him to act fairly and objectively in order to assist Farmington residents and their property interests.

Rob is a board member of several organizations such as the CT Chapter of the American Planning Association, where he previously served as Treasurer, and the UCONN MPA Alumni Council. He was also co-awardee of the Working Lands Alliance 2012 Farmland Preservation Pathfinder Award, a requested speaker and a published co-author. He’s also a weather junkie as evidenced by his SKYWARN weather spotter cerfitication.

Above all, he is the proud husband to Kimberly and father to their children; Bretton and Kayleigh.
