Ned Lamont’s recent appointment of Terry Gerratana to a key position in the Governor’s administration has created an opening in the 6th District of the Connecticut State Senate.
The Democratic candidate for the 6th Senate District is Rick Lopes, current Connecticut State Representative for the 24th District, which includes New Britain ad a portion of Newington.
Connecticut’s 6th Senate District is comprised of a portion of Farmington, all of New Britain and Berlin.
A special election will be held on Tuesday, February 26th.
How You Can Help
To qualify for special funding from the Citizen’s Election Program, Rick needs to raise a minimum of $11,000 in total contributions coming from a minimum of 225 unique individuals. The donations must be between $5 and $225 and come from residents 12 years and older from the towns of Farmington, New Britain and Berlin to qualify.
