Patty Buttero – Bio:

Patty Buttero’s family roots run deep in Farmington. Her family has resided in Farmington for over 80 years, where it has owned and operated Lakeside Dairy Farm, Lakeside Ice Cream and Snack Bar, and Almont Realty, where they brokered and recruited businesses for the betterment of our town. A longtime Farmington resident, Patty attended and graduated from Noah Wallace and Farmington High School.

Patty was elected as an Alternate to the Zoning Board of Appeals starting in 2005, and later became a full member, where she served as Secretary. Conducting on-site visits of all subjects of pending applications, her approach was distinguished by balancing respect for all applicants with a decision-making process that was honest, impartial and thorough, always taking into account what was right for the future of our town.

Patty is retired from the Connecticut DOT, where she was Secretary to the Appraisal Division. She remains active in the community, having served as Secretary Grand Council for the Daughters of Vartan, and as an active member of The Armenian Church of the Holy Resurrection, where she serves as the Assistant Treasurer on the National Board of the Women’s Guild Central Council, Assistant choir director and co-director of the seniors group at church. Patty also serves as Justice of the Peace.

As a candidate for the Board of Assessment Appeals, Patty looks forward to using her knowledge and expertise to continue her life-long commitment to serving the residents of Farmington and Unionville.
