John Vibert – Bio:
4th Generation Farmington Native
John is a 4th-generation Farmington native who attended Farmington public schools until his graduation as member of the Class of 1968, and then remained in his home state to get his degree at UConn.
John served 4 terms as a member of the Farmington Town Council, serving Farmington’s 2nd District. He also served previously as an Alternate on the Town Planning and Zoning Commission. From 1999 to 2008, he was on the Board of Directors of the Farmington Land Trust; serving as its President for five of those years.
John’s active role in the community is also evident in his past and current participation on the board of the Unionville Museum, where he serves today as treasurer. He also has been involved with the Farmington Community Chest, Bicycle Friendly Farmington, Farmington Youth Soccer, Farmington Youth Baseball, and Cub Scout Pack 37.
John lives in Unionville with his wife, Dana. Their four children, Jack, Bob, Juliet and Olivia, all graduated from Farmington High School. He is retired after 33 years with The Hartford Financial Services Group, where he served in multiple management positions.
