John Tucker – Bio:

John Tucker was raised to believe in the importance of public service, a value that informs all aspects of his life today. An Assistant Attorney General since 1997, he tries cases in all courts and handles appeals in the Appellate and Supreme Courts to protect the interests of the people of the State of Connecticut.

Before moving to Farmington some years ago, he served for eight years as a municipal zoning official in West Hartford. He is committed to insuring the zoning process is open, transparent and fair, and safeguards the high quality of life in town.

His belief in community participation carries over into the causes for which he volunteers, which include the Farmington Land Trust, Green Efforts Clean Up Day and Relay for Life.

Married 24 years to his wife Diane, he is the proud parent of a fourteen-year-old daughter. In his spare time, he studies Tae Kwon Do and, when time allows, takes advantage of local tennis courts and hiking trails. He enjoys Farmington for its charming locale, diverse recreational opportunities, welcoming residents, and high quality of life; and looks forward to using his legal skills and community experience to maintain its high standards.
