Edward Giannaros – Bio:

Edward Giannaros is a financial analyst and a lifelong resident of Farmington. A current member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, he is a product of Farmington’s strong public school system, including Union School, IAR Middle School and Farmington High School.

With The Traveler’s Companies since 2007, Edward has filled a variety of roles, among them Senior Financial Analyst/Consultant and Consultant of Information Delivery (for Finance), with responsibilities that include budget analysis, budget forecasting, long-term planning, applications development and data analysis.

Edward earned his M.B.A. in 2007, with a concentration in Finance, from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford. Two years earlier, he earned his B.S. in International Business from The George Washington University School of Business

Edward has embraced his family’s strong tradition of civic responsibility and public service. He was first elected to the Zoning Board of Appeals in 2005 and has served as ZBA Chairman for 5 years. As Chairman, he drafted and passed the first-ever ZBA by-laws, with the goal that all applicants coming before the Board should know its procedures and what to expect. He embraced as a standard that applicants and the participating public must be treated with fairness and respect, and those values remain core principles in his work for the community.
