Edward Giannaros – Bio:
Farmington native Edward Giannaros brings a passion for public service to his work on the Town Council. Edward grew up in Farmington and, when he returned home after college, immediately became involved in volunteer and elected positions: in addition to his work on the Farmington Land Trust and the Unionville Museum, he served as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for 11 years, and was chair of that board for 5 years. Most recently, has spent four years on the Town Council.
Edward is a software developer and financial analyst, and he brings his background in finance and technology to his work on the Town Council — he focuses on providing and maintaining services to town residents in the most cost effective way possible, while also maintaining Farmington’s natural resources and unique character. To this end, he has served as liaison for the Economic Development Commission, as well as on the Unionville Historic District Commission and the Unionville Improvement Association. He brought his financial expertise to the FHS Facility and Financial ad hoc Committee in 2018-2019; and last year, Edward was appointed to Farmington’s Racial Equality Taskforce.
