Bruce Charette – Bio:

Growing up in Plainville, Bruce Charette would drive down Farmington’s Main Street and imagine living in the picturesque town. When in 2014, Bruce moved to Farmington, his dedication to Farmington was already many years in the making. Bruce promptly jumped into his new home town and was appointed as an alternate to The Farmington Historic District Commission and elected as an alternate to The Farmington Town Planning and Zoning (TPZ). Bruce’s service on TPZ led to an appointment on the Capitol Region Council of Governments (CRCOG).

Bruce’s dedication to community service started well before his move to Farmington, when in 2008 he served on the Plainville Downtown Revitalization Committee. Bruce was actively involved with the Committee’s work revitalizing and enabling the town’s downtown businesses to succeed.

Bruce has spent over 30 years of his professional career with Cigna Corporation, holding over that time a variety of management-level positions, including Director of National Account Implementation and Information Management Engineer.

Bruce continually strives to give back to the towns in which he lives and feels his personal, professional, elected, and volunteer endeavors have equipped him with a diverse skill set which will be instrumental to the Town Council’s success with providing open and honest improvements for our town and the lives of its residents.

When local weather permits, Bruce can be found walking about town or playing epic croquet tournaments at the Hill-Stead Museum.
