Bill Beckert – Bio:

Bill Beckert has spent his almost 30-year law career with a focus on helping people and small businesses who face challenges. Bill has developed an expertise in conflict resolution that he has found invaluable in his role as an elected official. Bill has been serving on the Farmington Board of Education since 2009, and in that time, has worked to keep budgets in line with taxpayer expectations, while ensuring that Farmington maintains its top-rated education system. Prior to his service on the BOE, he served as a member of the Plan and Zoning Commission, Inland Wetlands Commissions, and the Conservation Commission.

Bill has lived in Unionville with his wife and children for 20 years. In addition to his public service, he has coached baseball, softball, and basketball teams and taught CCD at St. Mary’s in Unionville, and was a volunteer with the FHS Football Booster Club.  He has spoken to corporate and civic groups on many topical issues, and has served as a mentor for students with an interest in law at Plainville High School.
