Joel Nowakowski – Bio:

Having grown up in Farmington, Joel Nowakowski is aware of how fortunate he was to enjoy the benefits of a town whose educational standards and quality of life rank among the best in the country.

Currently working as a Vice President of Commercial Banking at Citizens Bank, Joel is also a U.S. Navy/Navy Reserve veteran who served during the first Gulf War. He holds a BA from Eastern Connecticut State University and a MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. His wife, Erika, is the Director of Youth Justice Initiatives at University of New Haven. Joel and Erika have three sons, with two attending West District School.

Joel is active in the community, having served on the boards of non-profits that include The Eastern Connecticut State University Alumni Foundation, The iQuilt Partnership Board of Corporators, Amy’s Angels and pitching in for various community involvement activities that are sponsored by Citizens Bank. He is proud to give back to the community, and to contribute to the legacy that has made Farmington a great town for generations.
